Sander's Beach, Coeur d'Alene Lake
Directions
From I-90 exit on the 15th street exit and go south (toward the lake). Go straight till you reach Sherman Ave. Take a left on Sherman Ave, and continue till you reach 11th Street. Take a left on 11th, and continue on 11th till you see a beach on your right.
Description
This is a good dive site for beginners. There is a nice sandy beach that makes getting in the water easy. If you head straight out from the beach there is not a lot to see just logs and a sunken rowboat. If you head to the right (toward the marina), there is a lot of rubbish: wood, plastic, and broken chairs. You may also find a broken barge in about 30 feet of water. There is also a sunken tugboat that you can find if you go south along Tubb's Hill (the hill west of the dive site).
