Signal Crawfish

The signal crawfish (Pacifastacus leniusculus) is known by the common names signal crawfish, pacific crawfish, and Californian crayfish. This species of crawfish is largest native species found in the United States and is native to the northwest US and British Columbia. Juveniles eat aquatic insects, and adults eat aquatic plants and animal matter (fish and other crawfish). Adults males can reach an length of 16 cm, whereas female can get up to 12 cm.
