Sea anemone
Sea anemone are invertebrates that members of the phylum Cnidaria. Other animals that are members of the phylum include jellyfish, coral, and sea fans.
Sea anemones are marine animals that resemble a flower. They usually spent the majority of there lives attached the ocean floor. Their bodies consist of a column like body with a oral disc (mouth/anus) surrounded by stinging tentacles. Their mouth is used both for taking in food as well an excreting waste. Many sea anemone are able fold their tentacles in to their oral disc and close up. This can be used for defense or to retain water if the anemone is exposed during high tide.
